Marc Coma has started the Raid World Championship true to form, getting a new victory in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. Leader from the first phase, the Repsol rider has managed his lead in the more than 2,000 miles that have made the rally, 1,245 of them timed drive through the desert dunes of the UAE, to get the win in a scenario already climbed to the top of the podium last year, well in 2006 and 2007.
Needed a victory to restore morale after a few difficult months and Marc Coma has answered the best way possible: imposing on the first day and not letting the lead until the finish. Coma has been maintained regularly and has reached the goal of Abu Dhabi in first position, with more than ten minutes ahead of second place.
The second scoring round of the Raid World Championship, Rally of Tunisia, concluded with a hard-fought victory for Marc Coma, who has signed a flawless second half of the race, overcoming the problems of tires was the second day. The pilot has asserted his talent in the African dunes to overcome the problems of tires it had on the second day, following which he was eighth overall, more than 28 minutes behind the leader.
The Italian island of Sardinia has been the scene of the third round of the Raid World Championship, which was awarded Marc Coma.
