Marc Coma strengthens its leadership
The pilot MRW eighth concludes the fourth stage and remains the leader with more than six minutes ahead of second place in the absence of one day for completion of the rally.
Opening track after his important victory yesterday, Marc Coma made this morning to stay ahead of the general classification of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge. The penultimate round tore this morning with the first starting MRW pilot the 318 competitive kilometers, finishing eighth in a special, 15 minutes and 26 seconds behind the winner, Helder Rodrigues. This result has allowed him to keep the lead with 6 minutes 34 seconds ahead of second place.
After 4 hours, 38 minutes and 23 seconds of special, Marc Coma has achieved its goal of the day, managing the advantage gained yesterday on the longest stage of the rally. Coma was responsible for opening the door, and while his main rivals have met in the demanding desert dunes of Abu Dhabi, the pilot MRW has asserted his tactical planning, which has preserved the lead and placed in a starting position advantageous in the face of the last stage to conclude the race tomorrow, again in Abu Dhabi.
Will be 364 kilometers, in which after a 13-kilometer link will face a special of 287 timed kilometers, and a last link of 64 miles to the finish in Abu Dhabi.
