June 4, 2012, 6:32 p.m.

The MRW driver has managed to enlarge their record, getting the third place by teams in the Baja 500 held this weekend in Ensenada, Mexico. The test, of 450 miles (724 kilometers), was played throughout the day in teams of three riders. Coma's team, the KTM USA, was completed by Ivan Ramirez Mexican and American Mike Brown.

Due to a sharp drop in the first relay of Ivan Ramirez, the bike has been affected and the team could only go along the front of the race. As a result of the fall they had to change the pipe of the KTM 450, the enduro motorbike which has used the team. This bike is different from the one that Marc Coma rides in the Raid World Championship, as it is smaller and simpler than the raids one.

Marc Coma has been unable to capitalize on his skill in navigation, because the Baja 500 points the path on the terrain and the road books are not used as in the normal racing and rally raids.

Mike Brown, the pilot who carried out the second relay, has managed to close the gap on the first classified and climb positions in the table, although the initial fall left some damage on the bike, that technical problems have become a constant to the end of the race.

Catalan was the third reliever and, despite starting at a very high risk could not due to tire wear. The MRW driver has run the stretch near the coast, which has been divided into two very distinct parts. The first has been complicated and very mountainous, and the second has been fastest, with wider tracks and technically similar to other tests which Coma is familiar with, such as the Dakar.

The trio of Robby Bell, Steve Hengeveld and David Pearson, riding a Kawasaki, have completed the test in a time of 9 hours, 10 minutes and 3 seconds. Two minutes and 28 seconds, second place went to the Honda team made up of Cotton Udall, David Kamo and Timmy Weigand. The USA KTM Marc Coma completed the podium to about seven minutes of the victors.

The next meeting of Marc Coma will be the fourth round of the World of Raids, led by MRW pilot, which will be played on the Italian island of Sardinia between 23 and 28 June.
